Priorities and Objectives

  • Ensure SAFETY at all times.
  • Effective interaction with the Project Logistics Service Provider (LSP)
  • Execute Logistics tasks within schedule.
  • Comply with Logistics Operations Plan.
  • Ensure correct workflow sequence, throughout the project. Ensure that the work is executed in accordance with the agreed integrated schedule.
  • Maintain system for the recording and reporting of work and material and equipment movements are adhered to.
  • Compliance with the company procedures.
  • Ensure that HSE and QA procedures are adhered to by sub-contractors

Roles and Responsibility

  • Support of all Project Logistics Operations related activities
  • Ensure timely issuing of Shipping Release to LSP
  • Ensure timely collection from vendors’ premises in accordance with PO.
  • Create Shipment files
  • Coordinate collections from Vendors with Procurement/Expediting and LSP
  • Monitor and maintain SPMAT Logistics Module.
  • Monitor LSP’s ILMS
  • Liaise with LSP to ensure daily update of SPMAT via file exchange
  • Review draft vendor shipping documentation and resolve any discrepancies with LSP
  • Maintain a strong HSE awareness.
  • Review daily/weekly reporting and resolve any discrepancies
  • Maintain and update Master Shipment List.
  • Check all invoices for correctness prior to review and approval by PLM
  • Submit shipment details to insurance as directed to ensure adequate cover
  • Prepare incident reports within required time frame for submission to PLM & Project HSE Team
  • Create and maintain database for all government receipts for published charges and tariffs.
  • Create and maintain separate Customs Documentation Database
  • Arrange Marine Warranty Surveys as instructed by PLL
  • Raise Non-Conformance Reports (NCR’s) when any discrepancy is observed
  • Liaise as deemed necessary by PLL with other Project functions and site to ensure that company’s goals are timely and effectively achieved
  • Maintain and update KPI register
  • Highlight any risks to achieving timely delivery of materials and equipment to PLL.
  • Establish and maintain complete correct list of equipment and materials for Transportation planning purposes including all dimensions and weights.
  • Ensure Logistics compliance with company procedures.
  • Any other activities as deemed necessary by Project Logistics Lead (PLL)

Qualifications & requirements
Experience: 5 years or more

  • Degree: Not required
  • 5 years’ experience or more working for Tier1 Project Logistics companies, EPC Contractors, or O&G service companies mandatory
  • Experience with capital projects in KSA and or Middle East mandatory
  • Multimodal experience mandatory
  • Out of Gauge cargo transportation mandatory
  • Logistics related degree desirable but not required
  • Fluency in English (written and spoken) mandatory
