Machine Operator: Heavy Lifting Blender

HOURLY RATE: $23.06

Summary:
Operator must be able to read and write and must know how to control Blenders and Hobarts and also let sanitation be a priority.

Essential Duties:

  • Fill blenders with raw materials.
  • Must check all ingredients against a work sheet to make sure he has everything on hand.
  • Make sure blenders are always clean and must know all different allergens we have in the plant
  • Discharge blenders into its required package as required by the worksheet.
  • Check labels been placed on the finish product against the work sheet to make sure that is what is required.
  • Confirm signature on the work sheet to prove all that is required is done.
  • Sign off labels and cure sheet to confirm what you used.
  • Make sure all finished products are neatly stacked on a required skid and only the number required per skid.
  • Follows all safe operating instructions & work procedures, ensuring personal & coworker safety.
  • Detect machine malfunctions and report to supervisor.
  • Completes all documentation very well.
  • Report any shortage of missing products to the supervisor.
  • Understand and comply with all safety requirements and comply with company policies.

Non-Essential Duties:
1. Wash drums and skids.

  1. Clean the blending room on weekends.

  2. Assist in batching room sanitation.


Minimum Qualifications:
1. High school, or equivalent, education.

  1. Knowledge about manufacturing food preferred.

  2. Able to communicate well, both verbally and in writing and have good mathematical skills.


Work Environment:

  • Exposure to loud environment, airborne particles with strong odors associated with spicy food ingredients and sometimes wet and humid conditions.
  • Walking and standing on concrete for 8 to 12 hours a day. Climbing steps, ladders and working on elevated surfaces.
  • Lifting on a repetitive basis-materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
  • Exposure to fast paced production lines working 8 to 12-hour shifts.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
