Quality Engineer

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Coordinates collection, analysis, and reporting of quality-related data using statistical techniques.
• Participates in continuous improvement projects with a focus on manufacturing processes.
• Initiates actions to prevent the occurrence of product nonconformity.
• Serves as an auditor for internal, inter-facility, and supplier audits as needed.
• Interfaces with external inspection and audit agencies to ensure compliance with industry standards, codes, and customer specifications.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from a reputable university.
• Experience with oilfield equipment is highly desirable, as is familiarity with API, ASME, ASTM, or other industry-related codes and standards.
• Proven knowledge in Quality assurance / Quality control / non-destructive testing (NDT) is preferred.
• Experience with manufacturing processes and mechanical aptitude.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Approximately 10% of domestic travel is required to perform inspections and audits or for training purposes.
