Job Purpose:
The driver role is to transport food, products and various goods safely and effectively to a designated location within a set time frame. As well as correct handling and delivering of goods, drivers must be able to perform various administrative duties such as filling and giving out delivery forms, checking off product lists and going through security checks.
Duties and responsibilities
- Driving safely and follow all laws and rules of driving to maintain a safe and healthy work environment
- Meeting all personal and role responsibilities as required under the company’s Health & Safety Policy and to proactively promote the safety first culture.
- Comply with all food safety and hygiene regulations to the highest possible standard.
- Loading, unloading, preparing, delivering and collecting goods.
- Time keeping and maintaining an organized schedule.
- Paperwork management, keeping accurate records of deliveries and ensuring all documentation is submitted on time.
- Maintaining communication with the operations teams and management to inform of any change of delivery, route or schedule.
- Informing the management of any obstructions to making safe, efficient deliveries on time.
- Security of vehicles and goods.
- Signing vans in and out correctly including damage check sheets and returning keys to the correct place after each drive.
- Keeping vehicle clean and ensuring it is well-maintained, has fuel, oil and is ready to drive.
- Reporting any maintenance issues, knowledge about mechanics is beneficial, in case delivery vehicle has technical issues.
- Working at nights and on weekends.
Work Experience
1 year driving experience as a delivery driver in the Middle East.
Experience of working in a food business preferable.
Skills Required

Drive and determination to get the task done and to be intellectually astute.
Able to meet deadlines, be honest and be 100% reliable.
Having good written and spoken communication skills and being able to complete paperwork.
Flexibility to be capable of working in a vibrant and pressurised environment and to be able to adapt to late requests and short lead times.
Ability to work at night shifts where & when required
Problem solving ability with a keen eye for detail.
Physically fit, to be able to lift heavy objects and load them into the vehicles.
Being able to work as part of a team but have self-motivation.
Qualifications:
A valid commercial KSA driving license
A very good driving record with no traffic violations.
