Description
In this role as a Duty Manager -Laundry within QACC, you would be responsible to handle an Operations Shift independently and able to control the unit activities as a whole, if need arises.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all operational aspects of the department during the shift and ensure that all products are delivered to agreed standards within budget, to agreed standards and within the hygiene procedures.-
- Implements management instructions including customer service packing and handling, food safety, HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point), Quality control and Health and Safety.-
- Ensures that full safety program is implemented and the compliance of Department with all documents that should be used during training and monitoring.-
- Suggests operational solutions by analyzing systems and procedures that are currently in place and proposing alterations to current procedures to increase efficiencies.-
- Liaise with airline representative to ensure the policies/procedures relevant to our operation are implemented.-
- Report all non-conformances, investigates and any ensure corrective actions are implemented and reported to the Senior Management.-
- Responsible for implementing security instruction, safe working practices and procedures in accordance with QR policies.-
- Conduct spot-checks internally and externally in order to ensure that operations are carried on as per the airline standards on schedule.-
- Liaise regularly with sections like Administration, Assembly, Ware Wash, Equipment, Laundry and Service Delivery to ensure proper communication at all times with regard to equipment requirement and special services.-
- Comply with and practice QR Occupational Health and Safety policy and Procedures.-
- Manage the maintenance of QACC machinery by coordinating with maintenance and other service providers regarding the maintenance schedule and reporting any maintenance discrepancies during the day.-
- Prepare clear reports with facts and figures in case of flight delays/accident/incident or any operational Emergencies.-

- Specialized knowledge of catering operations and roistering/scheduling.
- Ability to manage the working hours and ensure productivity of manpower effectively. Ability to perform under high work pressure Good Command over English language.
- Effective communication /presentation skills.
- Managerial skills - Ability to delegate work, set clear direction and manage workflow. Strong mentoring and coaching skills. Ability to train and develop subordinate's skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members
