788158 - Video Production Intern

Geosyntec is looking for a creative and talented Video Production Intern *to be based out of *Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. The position will assist the video team with assembling recordings and animations into a finished product that tells a story matching the technical excellence of our engineers and scientists. The position assists with the development and implementation of digital media designs that support the company s internal and external communications requirements by working with stakeholder communities such as practice and market groups, corporate support departments, and senior leaders.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The duties and responsibilities of the position include but are not limited to the performance of the following activities:

  • Assist the video team with editing videos and animations that appear in web, presentation, and event environments;
  • Assist with the development of internal and external communications;
  • Assist with quality control for digital media deliverables for corporate communications initiatives and projects;
  • Contribute to the firm s digital communications initiatives as needed; and
  • Other duties as assigned by the video team.

EDUCATION AND LICENSURE

  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED). (required)
  • Currently pursuing a college diploma or bachelor s degree in video, animation, graphic design, digital media, art, or related field. (preferred)

SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Ability to take direction from multiple project leads.
  • Ability to provide principles of logical thinking to a variety of technical and practical problems. (required)
  • Ability to read, and interpret marketing, technical, and other business documents. (preferred)
  • Ability to drive to company offices and for other business travel, as needed. (required)
  • Valid Canadian driver s license and a satisfactory driving record for business travel. (required)
