One of NZ's most recognized Managed IT Services providers are on the hunt for what is best described as a Networking Provisioning Engineer.

The role suits a person who has a passion for Networking, holds a CCNA and has a couple of years Networking experience. Are you keen and motivated and have a thirst to learn, then this really is the role for you.

The role:
Our client has created the Network Provisioning Engineer position, where you will be responsible for MACD's (Moves, Add, Changes and Deletions) of technologies which include; Copper, Fibre, MPLS, Ethernet, Radio, and Voice (including SIP), as well as customer premise equipment.

A reasonable component of this role day to day is the need to own / manage the relinquishing process for Ethernet, IP, and Voice services. Using third party portals, you will disconnect circuits, and overtime, you will also be updating the configurations within our client's core platforms.

About yourself:
Technically minded, as a 1-3 years experience in Network Administration/Support or Engineering, your core experience is in routing, switching and with either hands on exposure or knowledge of MPLS/IP networking, you can comfortably hold you own talking about OSI and be at ease updating network design documentation.

Core Technical Requirements:

  • 1- 3 years commercial networking experience with CCNA certification as a minimum.
  • Fundamental knowledge of MPLS / IP Networking, routing protocols and hardware platforms including BGP, OSPF, RIP, EIGRP, TCP/IP, Cisco, Nokia, Fortinet, RAD (Highly Desirable)
  • If you have demonstrated experience with the various layers of a carrier’s infrastructure and services, from customer premise equipment to provider edge - this would be outstanding.
  • Planning, analytical and conceptual problem-solving skills with effective time management skills to manage the relinquishment duties in a comprehensive and qualitative manner.:

  • Highly effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to deliver exceptional experience to customers.
