JOB DESCRIPTION
Edging & Finishing Technician.
Full-time positions come with medical and dental benefits.
Duties & Responsibilities include:
- Edging & mounting lenses into frames
- Lens marking, verification, and blocking
- Frame tracing
- Other related duties as assigned.
- Inspect eyeglass lenses for visual defects and accuracy of prescription
- Operate lens manufacturing equipment; lens marking, tracing, blocking and other related duties
- Update job status in practice management softer (WINK)
- Keeping work area clean
- Have experience using manual and/or auto lensometer
- Have edging & mounting experience of 2+ years minimum
- Experience with Essilor NEKSIA (or other, modern Essilor edgers) is ideal
- Experience with Zeiss is ideal
- Experience dealing with high/complicated prescriptions is ideal
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent minimum
- Have good basic math skills
- Be able to read, write and speak fluent English
- Be a team player
