Process Supervisor - Sludge X2

Job Advert Summary:
Rand Water is looking for a Process Supervisor - Sludge who will be responsible for all sludge treatment processes, plant and equipment; to ensure treatment standards are met on a 24 hour basis, thus providing a service to both VG and ZB stations.

Minimum Requirements:

  • National Diploma or B.Tech in Water Care or any tertiary engineering qualification.
  • 4 years’ experience in operations and maintenance
  • 2 years’ supervisor position in water industry
  • SHEMTRAC/SAMTRAC
  • Experience in SAP and Maximo computer packages
  • A valid driver’s license (Code 8 - EB) and the ability to pass Rand Water’s driver test is essential.

Primary Duties:

  • Operating the plant and ensure that the quality of return water meets requirements
  • Manage the staff on duty and arrange when there is a shortage of staff (draft a shift roster)
  • Responsible for managing the site after hours
  • Staff management and standby duties
  • Ensure adequate budgeting
  • Ensure training and development of staff
