The Group’s main business in Indonesia has historically been the defense domain, where Thales is a long-term provider of defense systems for the Indonesian Army and Navy. In these areas Thales has demonstrated a strong commitment to working collaboratively with the Indonesian government and partners with local stakeholders. In recent years there has been an increased interest in the Thales civil solutions especially in the field of transportation and air traffic control. With the growing attention to infrastructure development by the Indonesian government, Thales will have opportunities in the transportation and security domain.
The role is to lead, direct & manage the day-to-day Human Resources activities for Thales offices in Indonesia. The incumbent will provide support and guide to a wide range of HR services but not limiting to payroll, employee engagement & retention, performance management, training, compensation benefits, implement best practices, lead & implement all HR projects. Working closely with Regional HR Team on operational support issues & program initiatives.
Job Duties & responsibilities:
- Manages & supports day-to-day HR operation within the organization;
- Provides advices to managers on employee relation issues including employee grievances/counselling in compliance with labour law
- Establishes employee handbook, HR policies & procedures to ensure internal controls are maintained;
- Involves in annual talent review exercise to identify key potentials and follows through their development plans;
- Supports and tracks completion of annual performance reviews
- Oversees, reviews, approval on Payroll processing including income tax filing & statutory filings;
- Involves in manpower planning to ensure right skilled resources are available to meet projects execution & assists in budget preparation;
- Conducts effective employees communication to ensure good level of engagement including leading recreation committee
- Takes lead in Diversity & inclusion topics as well as being part of an active member of the country Health & Safety committee;
- Oversees & manages all matters related to immigration and work passes for expatriates
- Works closely with the Centre of Experts at the Regional level for Compensation & Benefits, International Mobility, Talent Acquisition and Talent & Learning;
- Being involved in hiring process and manages in-house orientation & conducts exit interviews;
- Manages the company disciplinary process from investigation, conducting domestic inquiries up to recommending appropriate actions to be meted out;
- Works with Line Managers on training opportunities available from the Group’s and Regional’s Learning Programs for their Department & team and co-ordinate on the process;
Requirement / Qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent in any discipline
- Over 10 years of experience in a generalist HR role
- Good knowledge of Indonesia Employment Act
- Hands-on payroll experience and working knowledge with Workday will be an advantage
- Strong verbal & written English language
- Ethical, resourceful, versatile, hands-on, able to work under pressure & self-driven with good organization skills
