Legal Advisor/advocate

Position Summary: The Legal Advisor/Advocate will be responsible for providing legal counsel and support to the Agrochemical Industry. The individual will be required to advise on legal matters, draft legal documents, and represent the company in legal proceedings. The position requires a deep understanding of the laws and regulations that govern the Agrochemical Industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide legal advice and guidance to the management team on a wide range of legal issues, including but not limited to contract law, intellectual property law, employment law, and regulatory compliance.
  • Draft, review and negotiate contracts and other legal documents, including license agreements, supply agreements, distribution agreements, and confidentiality agreements.
  • Represent the company in legal proceedings, including court cases, arbitration, and mediation.
  • Advise on the legal implications of business decisions, such as mergers and acquisitions, and provide recommendations accordingly.
  • Keep abreast of changes in laws and regulations that affect the Agrochemical Industry and advise the company on how to comply with these changes.
  • Conduct legal research and prepare legal memoranda on various legal issues.
  • Develop and implement company policies and procedures to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  • Liaise with external legal counsel when necessary and manage the relationships with outside legal advisors.
  • Provide legal support to other departments within the company, such as sales, marketing, and finance.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law (LLB) from a recognized institution.
  • A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a legal advisor/advocate.
  • Knowledge of laws and regulations that govern the Agrochemical Industry, including but not limited to environmental laws, pesticide regulations, and food safety laws.
  • Strong negotiation, drafting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.
  • Experience in dealing with government agencies and regulatory bodies is preferred.
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is required, and proficiency in local languages is preferred.

Job Type: Part-time

Salary: ₹180,000.00 - ₹240,000.00 per year
