Department
OFFSHORE PROJECTS

Primary purpose of job
Responsible, accountable for the day-to-day Construction/execution of department assigned offshore Greenfield and

Brownfield projects to ensure they are constructed in accordance with approved Scope of Work, approved drawings,

engineering design and safety, environment and QatarEnergy standards & specifications.

Act as an interface between Construction Head, Asset Holder, Contractor and Construction Supervisors. Provide guidance

to construction supervisors and Contractor to ensure that all construction activities are executed in accordance with

approved method statements complying with project schedule, quality and HSE requirements.

Act as QatarEnergy site representative in fabrication yards, offshore installation and hook-up barges, Halul, Brownfield

modifications workboats etc. to monitor, control and report project progress.

Experience & Skills

onshore based Projects, construction of oil and gas production / wellhead platform topside and Jacket structures including

construction work and material inspection, review and approval of construction method statements, load-out activities.

  1. Computer literate. Good communication and interpersonal skills.

  2. Excellent command of English Language (oral and written)

  3. Excellent knowledge of industry engineering standards, quality control, safety and environmental awareness.

  4. Excellent ability to interpret and review method statements, inspection and test plans, construction schedules and


drawings.

  1. Ability to highlight potential bottlenecks/problems and ability to suggest solutions.

  2. Ability to supervise a multi-national and multi-cultural contractor workforce.


Education
B.Sc. in an Engineering discipline from a recognized University or Diploma in Mechanical, (or) Petroleum Engineering

discipline or equivalent plus relevant courses in Safety, Quality Control and Construction.
