Telecon is looking for an IT Intern to join our Technical Support Team in Vaughan.
Main responsibilities:
- Meet and assist users in configuring and using software and peripherals at their workstations;
- Analyze hardware and software problems while providing appropriate solutions;
- Carry out technical tasks such as configuration, maintenance and installation of computer equipment;
- Provide support and assure follow-up on various requests submitted and refer them as needed;
- Solve problems according to priorities and deadlines;
- Handle, transport, test and inventory the hardware and any equipment put under your responsibility;
- Take preventive measures and advise users in order to make them self-sufficient;
- Participate in different updates, monitoring file changes or recurring problems;
- Perform any other related tasks.
Required skills & abilities:
- College degree in Computer Science
- Excellent knowledge of English, both orally and in writing (French would be considered an Asset)
- Excellent knowledge of software MS Office and knowledge networking
- Good communication skills and customer focus
- Show initiative and good judgment
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and under pressure
- Ability to manage priorities
- Strong team player
- Motivated and engaged
- Ability to work On site in Telecon Office
