Sr. Electrical Engineer

Qualification:Graduate Degree or equivalent HNC in engineering discipline: Electrical, Power Electronics.

Experience: Min. 10 years’ in repair, maintenance and testing at Electrical workshop & client sites of MV VFD, Switchgears, VCB, ACB, Relays, Transformers, UPS & Power Electronics, Control boards etc. Hands-on with operations of all testing devices such as Omicron/Megger make, Remote/online assistance to troubleshoot VFD, Relays, PLC etc. Good Customer sales/service & commercial awareness, Spares Inventory management, ability to develop Repair / maintenance plans and procedures,

Minimum 5 years supervisory level and 2 years minimum at management level.

Desirable: Working knowledge of ETAP, Protection relay programming, SCADA/PLC/DCS basics. Qatar MMUPD Grade A/B is a plus, MENA driving License is a plus

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the first-point of contact to address Client questions or issues.
  • Responsible to perform testing, repair and maintenance work in a safe and efficient manner to meet the quality, cost, safety and schedule targets.
  • Required to perform duties at the inhouse test/ repair facility and at customer plant sites.
  • Coordinating with clients to provide online remote troubleshooting assistance at any time as required.
  • Ensuring proper Receiving, Handling, repair, inspection, testing and dispatch of the Assets at all time.
  • Developing the repair, maintenance and testing procedures as per Scope, OEM catalogue & OEM manuals.
  • Developing BOQ, required spare parts list, timely procurement, Inventory management, Overall schedule.
  • Advising to keep future inventory with respect to long lead time & cost-efficient procurement.
  • Prepare, Finalize and issue the testing and Quality Control requirements.
  • Initiate, conduct and reporting safety and quality audits with activity risks analyses, lessons learning.
  • Provide guidance and coordination with the team members at the workshop and site as required.
  • Ensuring availability of manpower, staff and assisting in outsourcing of respective sub-con support.
  • Monitoring the activity, work performance in line with schedule, delivery, quality and safety.
  • Coordinating with inter-discipline such as HR, Admin, finance, logistic, sales and procurement teams etc.
  • Controlling all the documents such as work performance records, history, manuals and specifications etc.
  • Participate in preparing the estimation and bidding process including technical and commercial proposals.
  • Participate in electrical system pre-commissioning and field start-up at site as required.

Salary: QAR8,000.00 - QAR20,000.00 per month
