To support Serco’s continuous growth and delivery of world class services, we are currently bidding for a new project in Saudi Arabia and we are looking for a Surveyor and GIS Advisor.
Key accountabilities
The Surveyor and GIS Advisor will collect and manage location data related to the fleet of vehicles. This includes using GPS and other location-based technologies to track the movement and location of vehicles, as well as collecting and analyzing data related to roads, traffic patterns, and other geospatial information. Provide accurate and timely geospatial data that can be used to optimize the performance and efficiency of the fleet of vehicles, while minimizing costs and improving safety. Study survey requirements and GIS, carry out survey works, prepare action plans and follow up their implementation. Supervise necessary field surveys and prepare plans and survey drawings. Prepare, present and discuss specialized documents and reports on the outcomes of these studies and analyses. Responsible for collecting data on fleet assets, including vehicle locations, fuel consumption, and maintenance schedules. They may also analyze this data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement. Create and maintain maps of vehicle routes, service areas and other relevant data. Use spatial analysis techniques to identify patterns and trends in fleet data.
We are looking for someone who has experience creating and analysing maps for different purposes, including optimizing routes and identifying areas of high traffic. Able to analyze geospatial data to identify patterns, trends, and potential issues, and develop solutions accordingly. Familiar with spatial analysis and statistics to understand patterns and trends in the geospatial data. An individual who is meticulous and precise when working with geospatial data, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Able to communicate complex geospatial data and analysis to non-technical stakeholders in an understandable way.
Specific requirements
Bachelor’s Degree in related field.
Minimum 7 years of work experience in similar role.
Familiar with GPS and other location-based technologies used for tracking vehicles and collecting geospatial data.
