Our Client is a leader in location technology, serving customers across industries from commercial to government sectors.
Responsibilities:
We’re looking for an experienced *Accountant *in a contract-to-permanent role, supporting the team in all aspects of financial accounting matters, including implementing automation for the streamlining and expedition of financial reporting.
- Compile and review monthly reports, analysing financial data and providing insights for management;
- Ensure compliance with reporting requirements of the group;
- Prepare quarterly benchmarking reports, comparing financial performance against industry standards;
- Develop and review budgets in alignment with organisational objectives;
- Monitor and manage cash flow-related matters;
- Assess and review internal control systems to safeguard financial processes;
- Conduct monthly reviews of journals and AP/AR reconciliation;
- Evaluate and verify monthly payment vouchers;
- Prepare submissions for Goods & Services Tax (GST);
- Manage withholding tax matters;
- Supervise and coordinate order processing activities, from trading purchases to invoicing, ensuring accuracy and timeliness;
- Oversee procurement activities including capital expenditure;
- Evaluate service pricing to ensure competitiveness and alignment with market trends;
- Perform reviews on customer credit;
- Provide timely and accurate information in regulatory surveys.
Requirements:
- Degree in Accounting & Finance, or a relevant certification;
- At least 5 years of experience in a similar capacity, preferably within a similar industry;
- Keen understanding and experience with local reporting standards;
- Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret financial data;
- Proficiency in SAP;
- Ability to work well in a team and also in a supervisory role;
- Proactiveness in achieving results;
- Ability to work well under pressure;
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
