Description
This is a remote position.
Design the test cases as per test plan and user specs.
Create Test Plan, Test Scenario, Test Cases and Test Scripts to validate source and Target data.
Play a key role in the development/automation of SQL queries while preparing the test case scripts.
Test data creation in case of the onsite/offshore model and if the data is sensitive.
Creating, maintaining and executing Re-usable scripts.
Execute test scripts including prerequisites, detailed instructions and anticipated results.
Execute back end data-driven test cases.
Performing RCA (Root Cause Analysis) of the failed test cases and providing the related data samples to clients.
Incorporate UAT test cases into testing.
Provide observations of the system which are not expected and could potentially be bugs.
Help with the analysis of issues and Data Reconciliation.
Create, compile and provide test reports and Metrics and provide support to business during the UAT phase.
Requirements:
2+ years of hands on experience with SQL to build testing queries.
1-2 years of testing experience with at least one large data program using Cloud/Hadoop technologies
BS or MS degree in Computer Science or a related technical field
Good to Have Skills:
Knowledge of AWS and its Data Services like S3, Redshift, Glue, EMR, Athena, DMS, Lambda etc or of Azure and its Data Services like Databricks, Azure Data Factory, etc.
Knowledge of programming languages like python for automation of test cases.
Soft Skills:
Experience with or knowledge of Agile Software Development methodologies.
Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Process oriented with great documentation skills.
Excellent oral and written communication skills with a keen sense of customer service.
