JOB SUMMARY

To support Health & Safety Unit to monitor overall safety and health management system and compliance in Water Treatment Plant.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan, implement and monitor all requirements prescribed in the ISO 45001 management system
  • Continually evaluate and improve the performance of the management system
  • Administer and coordinate the administration process of the management system including wherever involving third party i.e., performance report, surveillance, and certification audits
  • Update and revise the management system when possible, according to current updates from relevant parties
  • Implementation of Health and Safety Policy according to company requirement
  • To provide advice, guidance and assistance to all WTP’s
  • Responsible for administration and adherence of compliance to relevant HSE rules, regulations procedures including monitoring and surveillance
  • Plan and schedule site safety monitoring and inspection at all premises covering all activities and all business premises including contractor’s activities
  • Conduct inspection prepare the monitoring report and monitor the improvement work as the result from the inspection been conducted
  • To identify weakness and shortcoming of WTP’s and Regional Offices and assist in conducting HIRARC / JSA in order to provide the necessary protection or mitigation measure
  • Responsible the paper administration of PPE and other safety equipments at WTPs including establishing inventory system, upkeep record, procurement and replacement.
  • To assist in conducting accident investigation and reporting including near misses, unsafe act and unsafe condition
  • Create Safety and Health awareness among WTPs staffs
  • Identify all relevant internal and external programme, evaluate the needs for implementation and its criticality and propose to management
  • Plan and schedule the implementation of the programme
  • To provide HSE awareness through talk (guidelines & rules) to staffs / contractors / visitors, training, Toolbox meeting, Safety Committee Meeting and through other innovation programs
  • Identify all relevant monitoring programme, evaluate the needs for implementation and its criticality and propose to management for implementation.
  • Plan, schedule and coordinate the execution of programme such as CHRA, Noise Monitoring, LEV Testing, Chemical exposure monitoring, CIMAH and etc.
  • Rectify all findings and monitor the improvement work
  • Represent the unit/section in any meeting and function related or not related to HS but other than the described task.
  • Execute administration work including preparation or paper, internal memorandum and report.
  • Carry out any task that is related or not related to HS but other than the described task.
  • Adhere to Air Selangor Management System (AIMS) policy at all times where relevant to participate in the management system initiative
  • To ensure the objectives are established in the management system, in line with to context and direction of the strategic organization.
  • Assist main coordinator for related case in Emergency Response Plan (ERP), Business Continuity Plan (BCP) during crisis / emergency.
  • Other duties as needed or required.

Pay: RM2,700.00 - RM5,000.00 per month

Education:

  • Bachelor's (preferred)

Experience:

  • Occupational health: 1 year (preferred)
  • Health, Safety & Environment: 1 year (preferred)

License/Certification:

  • NIOSH (preferred)
