A leading organization operating in Saudi Arabia are seeking an experienced Procurement Manager to join their team and lead procurement initiatives in a remote capacity within Saudi Arabia..
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Strategy: Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with client needs and organizational goals. Collaborate with clients to understand their unique requirements and tailor procurement approaches accordingly.
- Supply Chain Optimization: Identify opportunities to enhance supply chain efficiency, reduce costs, and mitigate risks. Implement best practices in procurement operations to drive process improvements.
- Consulting Expertise: Leverage your consulting experience to provide strategic insights, recommendations, and guidance to clients on procurement best practices, market trends, and industry benchmarks.
- Vendor Management: Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors. Negotiate favorable terms, monitor performance, and ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Contract Negotiations: Lead contract negotiations to secure favorable terms and conditions. Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements while optimizing value for clients.
- Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance, coaching, and fostering a collaborative and high-performance work culture.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies. Ensure continuity of supply and implement contingency plans as needed.
- Performance Metrics: Define and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure procurement effectiveness. Provide regular reports to clients and senior management.
- Remote Engagement: Effectively manage procurement activities in remote locations within Saudi Arabia. Collaborate with clients and team members virtually while ensuring seamless execution.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 15 years of progressive experience in procurement, with a substantial portion gained in a consulting capacity.
- GCC experience
- Strong understanding of procurement principles, practices, and regulations.
- Proven track record of successfully leading complex procurement projects and teams.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- In-depth knowledge of Saudi Arabian market dynamics and procurement regulations.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CSCP, CPIM, CIPS) are a plus.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote setting.
