Barista Manager

Key Responsibilities:
1. Coffee Sourcing and Selection:

  • Procure high-quality coffee beans from reliable suppliers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with coffee producers to ensure a consistent supply of premium beans.
  • Knowledge of different coffee origins, varietals, and processing methods.

  1. Coffee Blending and Brewing:

  • Expertise in creating and experimenting with coffee blends to deliver unique and exceptional flavors.
  • Proficiency in various brewing methods, including espresso, pour-over, French press, and cold brew.
  • Maintain strict quality control standards in coffee preparation.

  1. Business Development:

  • Develop and execute strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Identify and capitalize on market trends and opportunities.
  • Implement marketing initiatives to attract and retain customers.

  1. Team Management:

  • Recruit, train, and lead a team of baristas to ensure excellent customer service.
  • Monitor staff performance, provide feedback, and conduct performance evaluations.
  • Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.

  1. Inventory and Supply Chain Management:

  • Manage inventory levels and ordering of coffee beans and other supplies.
  • Optimize inventory turnover and minimize waste.
  • Ensure equipment maintenance and repair.

  1. Customer Experience:

  • Create a welcoming and inviting atmosphere in the coffee shop.
  • Handle customer inquiries and concerns professionally.
  • Consistently deliver high-quality coffee and beverages.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in managing a coffee shop or similar food and beverage establishment.
  • Deep knowledge of coffee beans, roasting, blending, and brewing methods.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.
  • Business acumen and the ability to drive profitability.
  • Understanding of health and safety regulations.

Education and Certifications:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Additional certifications related to coffee, such as barista training or coffee roasting, are a plus.

Working Conditions:
The role involves working in a coffee shop environment, which may include standing for extended periods, handling hot equipment, and interacting with customers.
