Strategic Project Manager:
Greece

About the role

  • To lead the Greece Country President Project Management Office as well as lead the planning, management and delivery of important projects.
  • To support the Country President in achieving the local objectives by working with Greece, Cyprus and Malta with strong focus on the operational follow up of key strategic business decisions including performance management processes (i.e. business reviews, strategic planning, budget).
  • To support the Country President working with Region SERCE, project teams to input on key activities and to plan senior leadership meetings in country (and lead on region, international country visits).
  • To drive alignment on country initiatives that need Country President oversight including but not limited to site sales, acquisitions, downsizing etc..
  • To serve as strategic advisor and sounding board for ideas to the Country President and members of the LT

Major Accountabilities

  • Lead the PMO for Greece, ensuring oversight and program management of all country-wide strategic projects
  • Embed collaboration and project management methodology and tools to help upskill the organization
  • Ensure proactive planning and management of projects affecting the organization to ensure adequate governance and mitigate change management impacts
  • Ensure effective change management for all projects
  • Track and provide feedback to senior management on progress of key projects

Lead and deliver key strategic projects for the organizations

  • Lead cross-franchise, cross-functional and cross-geographical projects ensuring alignment with business objectives and stakeholder groups
  • Lead local implementation of above country projects
  • Provide support and coaching to leaders of other strategic projects

Facilitate achievement of organization objectives

  • Working behind the scenes to solve problems, mediate disagreements, and deal with issues before they are brought to the Country President
  • Enable the CP to lean on their Chief of Staff to troubleshoot and handle the daily needs of the company.
  • Handle daily tasks for CP upon request (e.g. briefings)
  • Facilitate execution through professional communication and collaboration
  • Prepare and/or provide guidance on presentations and reports on behalf of CP

Support business reviews and strategic planning

  • Support franchise and other teams in preparing materials for CP business reviews and strategic plans
  • Attend business reviews and follow-up on agreed actions to ensure delivery
  • Build deep and broad understanding of different parts of Novartis Hellas business

Support LT meetings

  • Act as secretariat for the LT meetings
  • Manage preparation of agenda and pre-reads to ensure topics align with agreed governance and priorities and papers support effective decision making
  • Manage actions and follow-up to ensure delivery

Role Requirements

  • Business Education Degree or related field.
  • Master Degree in business, finance, statistics, economics, or related degree
  • Fluency in Greek and English language
  • Consulting/strategic/finance program experience
  • Deep experience in pharmaceutical sector (5 to 10 years) preferable.
  • Experience in strategic planning and business development.
  • Experience in Customer insights (internal and external customers).
