Description
The Director of Collection Strategy And Revolving Products Credit Policy Department is a senior management-level position responsible for end-to-end revolving products credit cycle along with GCB collection strategy for all consumer products.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop a team of risk analysts and manage complex/critical/large professional disciplinary areas
- Lead risk financial forecasting efforts, including designing and maintaining complex credit loss and financial risk forecasting models, conducting cost of credit analyses, and monitoring product trends to identify key areas of risk-opportunity
- Develop, test, optimize and implement credit/valuation policies
- Manage risk levels for the entire credit/valuation spectrum across multiple revolving products and retail formats consistent with program financial goals
- Track and report on initiatives, performance results, emerging trends and opportunities to senior management
- Together with business teams and collection units, by crafting credit policies and by monitoring of the portfolio, has a responsibility of delivering Plan P&L numbers with special attention to Cost Of Credit in Revolving products area (Credit Card, Unsecured Overdraft)
- Track and monitor macroeconomic environment to properly manage adverse risk to the portfolio
Establish credit policies and procedures by multidimensional analysis and in compliance with:
Country PFSA (Polish Financial Supervision Authority) recommendations
- Bank Handlowy internal policies and standards
- European Banking Authority guidelines
- Establish cross-functional partnerships and networks in order to perform the BAU portfolio management and support the execution of cross-functional and business initiatives (on a daily basis cooperation with Business Product/Asset teams, Marketing Team, Digital Team, Credit Verification Unit, Risk Systems Development Bureau, Collection Department, Operational MIS, Compliance Department, Legal Department, Operational Risk Management Department, Capital Management Department)
- Performs matrix supervision over performance and efficiency of operational teams (Credit Verification Unit, Collection Department)
- Has a direct exposure to and performs consultation on behalf of Country Risk Manager with Regional consultants,
- Has a direct exposure on BHW Board/Regional Risk members by participating/leading on decisional commissions and committees
Selected functional knowledge and business expertise:
- In deep knowledge of measures and parameters used in the risk assessment process, including Risk Adjusted Performance Measures (ROTA, RORC, RORAP, ROB3C)
- High ability to interpret aforementioned measures and their influence on performance of credit portfolio
- Deep knowledge of data modelling, analysis and forecasting techniques (along with ability to work on large sets of data)
- Master expertise in P&L components, their internal relations and correlation with risk indicators
- Ability to perform multidimensional risk analysis with risk layering to properly evaluate the risk associated with particular product, customer or portfolio (including different data sources, both internal and external)
- Exceptional knowledge of credit cycle, understanding the relations within credit cycle and deep knowledge of teams participating directly (Collection, Verification, Sales, Business) and indirectly (Core Operations, etc.) in the cycle
- Ability to coordinate complex policy change implementation, by involving several different units and obtaining acceptance of cross-bank Department Heads, Board members, Supervisory Board members and Regional Risk members
- Deep knowledge of banking industry and market, newest trends and threats in banking
- Expertise in Cost Of Credit
Education:
- Master's degree/University degree or equivalent experience
