We are seeking a talented and innovative Head Baker to join our dynamic team at our luxury hotel. As the Head Baker, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our bakery operations, from designing and creating new recipes to managing inventory and leading a team of bakers.
A little taste of your day-to-day
Every day is different, but you’ll mostly be:
- Leading a team of bakers and pastry chefs in the preparation of baked goods.
- Developing and implementing new recipes and menu items.
- Maintaining inventory of baking supplies and equipment.
- Ensuring all baked goods meet our hotel's standards of excellence.
- Managing food safety and sanitation practices in the bakery.
- Collaborating with the executive chef and other members of the culinary team.
- Training and mentoring junior bakers and pastry chefs.
What do we need from you?
- Proven experience as a head baker or pastry chef in a high-volume bakery or hotel setting.
- Extensive knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- A passion for creating delicious and visually appealing baked goods.
- Certification in baking or pastry arts is a plus.
