Job Title: Logistic Executive

Location: Lower Parel, Mumbai, India

Industry: Steel & Tubes Manufacturing

  • Handling logistics, Transportation and customer services for Domestic of Steel & Tubes Industry.
  • Direct, optimize and coordinate full order cycle for domestic dispatches.
  • Planning and coordination of product movement.
  • Manage truck/container entry, inspection of vehicle documents and physical fitness and scheduling while maintaining defined SLAs (Service-Level-Agreements with customers).
  • Allocation of orders as per criteria and arrange trucks/containers from 3PL service providers including documentation irrespective of seasonal variation.
  • Execution of export orders with all required documentation.
  • Manage payment cycle of vendors of transportation and other logistics service providers.
  • Performance evaluation of vendors and MIS generation.
  • Contract handling of third-party logistic (3PL) service providers
  • Liaise and negotiate with transporters, shipping companies, freight forwarders, CHA’s, surveyors, port authorities, customs and or excise authorities etc.
  • Preparation of all the commercial documents related to the supplies and record keeping.
  • Investigate and resolve customer complaints.
  • Comply with laws, regulations, ISO requirements and high safety standards in entire logistics operations
  • Active participation in various dept. audits and compliance of recommendations.
  • Identify areas of logistic cost reduction.
  • Identify and manage risk in product logistics.

Competencies

  • Good supply chain knowledge.
  • Good logistics and geographical knowledge.
  • Good understanding on export process is an additional requirement.
  • Good knowledge of ERP system and preferably AX-9
  • Exposure to e-way bill

  • Good written and verbal communication capability
  • Excellent functional co-ordination capability

  • Must have strong knowledge of Excel, and Data Preparation as well as representation.

Qualifications/Experience

  • Education: Graduate/ Degree / Diploma is preferred
  • Experience: min 3 years in logistics
