The Group currently operates 11 nursing homes across Dublin, Cork, Louth, Meath, Wicklow, and Tipperary. We are in the process of building a 12th home which is due to open later this year. Reporting to the HR Operations Manager, we are now looking for an experienced self-motivated Human Resource Generalist to support the local nursing home management teams and operations of Riverstick, Ballincurrig and Nenagh Manor Nursing Homes and the Head Office HR Team.
This is a key role and will have a lot of autonomy locally. This role will support the Group HR agenda along with being involved at all points in the employee life cycle including driving the culture and HR structure in the 3 nursing homes.
Key responsibilities will include:
- Driving ways to improve employee attraction and recruitment.
- Implement and drive the process of exit interviews so that we can collate data to understand reasons for attrition in order to address.
- Increasing employee direct recruitment through local channels including arranging and managing recruitment days.
- Supporting the Line Managers in maintaining a positive employee relations environment, experience in grievances and disciplinary handling.
- Along with the local management team, aid in creating a culture that drives employee retention and reduces attrition levels.
- Ensuring employee engagement and retention by embedding Company values, relevant initiatives, and planning with the support of HR Team.
- Responsible for liaising and supporting the Line Managers, Nursing Home Administrators and HR Team to ensure a smooth and efficient onboarding process is upheld for new employees joining the homes.
- Responsible for supporting Nursing Home Management in providing them with training for HR processes as required.
- Responsible for ensuring that the Nursing Homes are compliant with training requirements, conduct regular audits and devise an informed action plan to support the administrators so that the Homes are compliant.
- Demonstrating strong people management skills by assisting and providing HR advice to employees and Line Managers throughout all stages of employee life cycles.
- Supporting the HR team in reviewing the existing HR processes as well as developing and implementing best practices, policies, and procedures.
- General HR administration including resolving employee queries and liaising with the team in Head Office to effectively communicate all the business updates to the Nursing Homes accordingly.
- Manage employee relations issues with the support of the management team in the Nursing Home.
- Supporting the HR Team with administrative tasks on a day-to-day basis including issuing contracts of employment, employment confirmation letters and any other documentation requested by the employees.
- Assisting HR Team with managing HR inbox, responding to employee queries, and supporting the HR Team in managing the careers inbox.
- Supporting the HR Team with administrative tasks linked to international recruitment including but not limited to issuing PPS letters, confirmation of employment letters and any other documents when required.
- Assist with HR projects and systems roll-outs where required.
