Internal Auditor

Job purpose:
Enhancing and protecting the organizational value by providing risk-based and objective assurance, advice, and insight by evaluating and improving the design and effectiveness of processes and internal control system.

Job description:
Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Provide input and assist in the preparation of the audit planning
  • Execute the audits according to the audit plan
  • Identify and report on shortcomings in current systems of internal controls regarding assigned activities, assist in understanding root causes and propose appropriate remediation actions
  • Design and execute testing plans also with the use of CAATTs during the audits
  • Contribute to a continuous auditing approach based on data analytics
  • Contribute to the preparation of audit reports
  • Prepare clear, complete deliverables and document audit work according to IIA and Corporate Audit Services (CAS) standards
  • Attend various meetings and present the outcome of the audits
  • Support in managing expectations of internal clients
  • Collaborate closely with 2nd Line of Defense
  • Perform validation of audit finding closures
  • Participate in regional initiatives/assignments upon request & availability

Desired Skills/Experience:
You need to have:

  • 3+ years of experience as an internal auditor (preferably in an insurance company). Alternatively previous experience in a big 4 audit firm can be considered
  • Good knowledge of the insurance industry
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office
  • Fluent in English (both written and oral)
  • CIA, ACCA certificates are preferred
  • University degree, preferably in Economics/Business Administration, Finance/Accounting, Engineering, Law or mathematics
  • Previous experience in data analytics and/or continuous auditing approach, artificial intelligence projects or tools and/or IDEA tool, SQL knowledge will be considered an asset
