Enesel S.A. is a ship-management company based in Athens, Greece, presently operating a diverse fleet of 18 modern high specification tankers. All existing vessels are constructed to the highest international standards in first-class shipyards. The entire fleet is chartered to high profile charterers and operators mainly on time-charter basis.
We are currently looking for a highly motivated full-time HSQE Superintendent to provide support to the HSQE department. The successful applicant is expected to have at least 3-5 years’ experience in a similar position, a solid shipping background and good contact with TMSA3 requirements. He/She should be well experienced in integrated management systems (ISM/ISPS/ISO) with ability to travel.
Main duties and responsibilities:
- Ensure that company policies, procedures and practices are strictly implemented and followed at all times.
- Provide direction and guidance to onboard/ashore personnel on HSQE issues within their workplace.
- Instill safety awareness to employees is a vital part of the role and so he/she will be expected to lead by example and to always promote best practice with regards to safety at work in all areas.
- Carry out pre-vetting inspections, Internal ISM/ISPS/ISO 14001/ISO 9001 Audits onboard managed vessels.
- Deliver training sessions onboard, deal with HSQE forms and communicate with vessels.
- Invite Oil Majors for SIRE inspection onboard the managed vessels, draft Owner’s response to observations raised and follow-up until the observations are closed.
- Handle external audits and take timely corrective actions.
- Assists in investigating any incidents that occur in the fleet.
- Coordinate with all involved departments for the preparation of the quarterly safety magazine.
- KPIs reporting/Management Review related to fleet HSQE performance.
- Provide assistance for OPEX Budget preparation and follow up.
- Provide assistance on special projects/corporate reporting.
- Responsible for the periodical review of the company Integrated Management System documentation, update and distribution ensuring that the procedures contained therein are implemented and maintained.
Additional qualifications/requirements:
- Fluency in English, both writing and verbally.
- Conversant with ERP systems.
- Proficiency in MS Office suite, good knowledge of other professional software.
- Tech savvy and feel comfortable using technology on daily basis.
- Strong report writing and sound numeracy skills are requirement.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills with preference for collaboration, action, accountability and developing of solutions/alternatives.
- A genuine interest in the nature of the job itself and a strong self-drive.
- Capable to work under stress in emergency cases.
- Strong ability to manage time efficiently and prioritize requirements to meet deadlines
- Attention to detail with excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
