Description
Personal qualities required and essential for the position include:
- Possess necessary certification to practice counselling in Malaysia and has experience counselling in an educational environment
- Practices professionalism and discretion at all times in relation to confidential matters
- Counselling experience or working with children and young people, preferably in a school setting, with an understanding of the developmental, emotional, social, and educational issues of children and young people.
- Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- A good listener and problem solver
- Compassionate and patient person
- Creative and adaptable
- Promotes positive attitude and mental well-being within the school
Job Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Counselling or Psychology
- Registered licensed counsellor with Board of Counsellor Malaysia (Lembaga Kaunselor Malaysia) or in the process of securing this is essential
- Minimum 1-2 years counsellor experience in an international school setting
- Experience of supporting students across different age ranges is an advantage
- Good command of English and Mandarin and able to converse in Bahasa Malaysia are added advantages

Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM5,000.00 per month
