POSITION:
QC Engineer/Inspector
REPORTING TO:
Direct Supervisor: Project Manager / QA/QC Engineer.
Indirect reporting to Head of Quality Department
Minimum Qualifications:
Qc Engineer: Engineering Degree + 3 years of experience.
QC Inspector: Diploma in engineering + 8 years of experience.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Inspection Requests and Coordination:
- Preparation and follow-up inspections for all work features to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Coordinate and facilitate the submission of inspection requests to the Consultant.
- Ensure inspections are carried out in a timely and organized manner
2. Inspection per Approved Specifications:
- Conduct inspections in line with approved project specifications, ensuring that materials and workmanship comply with agreed-upon standards.
3. Random Inspection of Delivered Materials:
- Perform random inspections on delivered materials to confirm their quality and compliance with specifications.
4. Identification of Improvement Items:
- Identify areas for improvement in construction processes and practices.
- Implement changes by coordinating with relevant individuals or teams to enhance quality and efficiency.
5. Quality Inspection Reporting:
- Prepare comprehensive quality inspection reports documenting the findings of inspections.
- Create non-conformity reports when deviations from project specifications or industry standards are identified.
6. Verification of Approved Drawings:
- Ensure that the latest approved drawings are available and in use at the construction site to prevent errors or outdated information.
7. Punch List Verification:
- Verify the timely completion of the consultant punch list before project closeout to ensure all outstanding issues are addressed.
8. Coordination with Testing Laboratory:
- Collaborate with Testing Laboratory Representatives to schedule and oversee necessary material and quality testing.
9. Review of Testing Results:
- Review the results of material and quality testing to confirm they meet project specifications and standards.
Education:
- Bachelor's (required)
License/Certification:
- UPDA, Grade A, B or minimum C. (required)
