Financial Governance Lead (Cork)

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Support the Governance and Insurance manager in implementing, managing, and driving the company financial governance/compliance process and ensuring that best practice is maintained in in relation to these activities.
  • Lead the quarterly financial governance/compliance process (including coordinating responses/reporting) for several functions across the business.
  • Prepare and draft formal financial governance/compliance reporting for the company Executive and Audit and Risk committee.
  • Ensure that the system that supports the financial governance/compliance process is fit for purpose. Identify and develop system and reporting enhancements and improvements.
  • Working with the wider Risk and Internal Audit teams, establish common ways of working to avoid duplication and ensure alignment.
  • Assist in driving continuous improvement initiatives to ensure that the financial governance/compliance process is efficient and effective.
  • Liaising with external auditors regarding the company’s financial governance/compliance process and other activities as required.
  • Develop strong relationships with key business stakeholders.

Requirements:

  • Ideally an accounting qualification with an auditing background.
  • Audit background in Big 4 or industry is advantageous.
  • At least 7 years’ experience in a similar role in a comparable organisation
  • Proficient on Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint & Excel.

Job Type: Fixed term

Salary: €60,000.00-€70,000.00 per year
