Description
Summary: The Accountant is responsible for preparing journal entries, maintaining balance sheet, schedules, ledgers account and bank reconciliations. He will also perform monthly account analysis and other general ledger accounts and prepares adjusting journal entries. He will be responsible to coordinate internal and external audits of the financial records and prepare monthly schedules for Sales and settlements.
Functions:
Your duties will consist of but will not be limited to:
1. Prepare facility financial statements and supporting schedules.
Reconcile general ledger account activity, balances Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable control accounts to detail aging.
Maintain cash balance records, reconciles cash receipts and disbursements to the general ledger.
Accounts for facility financial transactions and inputs event journal entries.
Assists A/R and A/P clerks with coding of receipts and disbursements into the general ledger.
Perform monthly account analysis on general ledger accounts and prepares adjusting journal entries.
Coordinate internal and external audits of the facility financial records.
Prepare monthly schedules for Sales Tax remittances.
Reconcile event POS system reports and contracted vendor settlement statements.
Audits cash handling procedures and performs cash vault audits.
Analyzes credit card settlements and chargebacks.
Reconcile monthly inventory reports and cost of sales calculations.
Perform cash flow forecasting, budgeting and working closely with the operations and Finance Team in analyzing margins, variances and cost analysis.
Issue cost reports for review and approval.
Develop and maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies for the setup.
Support the management in ensuring that intercompany cost allocations are in line with management agreements and transfer pricing policy.
Establish and maintain systems for cost-sensitivity analysis and early warning of cost overruns.
Work with the respective departments on cost reduction initiatives.
Must be able to identify problems or errors in documentation and suggest improvements or solutions.
Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned by the Head of the Department.
