Bank Operations Assistant - Guarantees
Job responsibilities:
Core Function: Responsible for Guarantee issuance, amendment and promptly fees billing, follow up on expired L/Gs and* *payments or extension request. Onboarding Maker, COU Maker for Cash Management (Backup)
1. Guarantee Transactions
Ensure:
- Timely and promptly process of billing/invoicing for guarantee fees such as subsequent billing on a quarterly basis for existing guarantees, newly issued issuance(s) and amendment(s);
- Timely fees booking process into Eximbills system;
- Timely follow up on outstanding transactions and issues such as sending tracer for expired transactions, payment or extension request and pending instructions;
- Follow up on unpaid bills/outstanding fees;
- Take instructions and perform any other ad-hoc duties or other products as assigned by the team lead or Head of Dept.
- Establish and maintain cordial working relationship with the team lead, team members and inter-department.
- Run Monthly Payment Tracer;
- Process fresh issuance and amendment for banks and corporate customers in accordance with the standard operating procedures;
- Scan Ltr of Guarantee documents into Docuware for effected fresh issuance(s) and amendment(s);
2. Provide Support
- Cover and provide support for team member(s) on his daily duties when the other colleague is out-of-office.
- Onboarding Maker, COU Maker for Cash Management (Backup)
Experience: 3 - 5 years of working experience in bank operations, preferably in Trade Services* *operations and Money Transfers, Trade Guarantees
systems an advantage. Good grasp of ICC’s UCP-600, URDG and ISP-98 desirable.
Minimum education: Minimum 5 Credits ‘O’ / GCE ‘A’ or equivalent/ Diploma in Banking and Finance.
Salary: $3400 - $4000
Location: CBD
Working hours: 9am - 6pm mon-fri
