Accounts Receivable Officer

The Opportunity:
Our client is an Australian-owned Energy Consultancy with the mission of helping businesses, large and small, navigate through the complex energy transition to cleaner and more sustainable renewable energy. This client is looking for an Accounts Receivable Officer. In this role, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the financial health of the organization by managing and optimizing the accounts receivable process.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate accurate and timely invoices for clients based on the services provided and agreed-upon terms.
  • Manage the invoicing of trailing, recurring, and once-off revenues with different invoicing arrangements from vendor to vendor.
  • Ensure invoices are distributed promptly through designated channels and monitor and track client/vendor payments.
  • Investigate and resolve discrepancies or issues related to invoices, payments, or client accounts.
  • Provide insights and recommendations to relevant parties based on the analysis of receivables data.
  • Reconcile discrepancies between payments received and invoiced amounts.
  • Develop and implement effective collections strategies to minimize overdue payments.

Skill, Experience, and Qualifications:

  • Diploma or Degree in Accounting / Finance / Business or any relevant field
  • Min 5-7 years of proven working experience in accounts receivable field
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Proficiency in relevant accounting software, specifically Xero.
