Job Description:
We are looking for an Area Delivery Manager with experience in fast paced environment. This is a key people leadership role supporting our Noel Leeming Distribution Centre, based in Whangarei.

Reporting to the Fleet Manager, your role will be to train, lead and support a high performing team, of engaged delivery and DC store members - ensuring that service level agreements, store and customer KPI’s are met and maintained

Further to that here’s what you will be doing:

  • Delivering a safe and compliant working environment for fulfilment team members
  • Control costs to budget through ongoing continuous improvement, ensuring that costs are within budget.
  • Ensure customer and fulfilment records are accurately maintained
  • Effectively plan, recruit, coach and schedule team members to meet safety and operational requirements
  • Ensure the movement and storage of goods is done in an effective manner
  • Contribute and lead continuous improvements in procedures and practises
  • Lead, grow and develop a team to high performance outcomes, in line with Company policies and procedures

Qualifications:
As the retail industry is rapidly evolving, you will be relied on to be flexible, adaptable, and work with a sense of urgency. Your knack to build strong relationships with your team, external and internal stakeholders, coupled with a customer centric mindset, will aid you in the success of the role.

This 'hand - on' role will suit someone that is not afraid to roll their sleeves up and lead by example

What else we are looking for:

  • 2-3 years leadership experience, ideally within a retail or logistics environment
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication skills both in writing ad verbal
  • History of developing operator capability & customer focus
  • Full New Zealand Driver’s License
