We are looking for a dedicated Facility Electrician to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is a part of our excellent Maintenance team based in Västerås. By joining us, you will be a key player in contributing to building one of the first large scale European battery factories.
About the job
As a Facility Electrician at Northvolt, you will be responsible for the execution of electrical maintenance to meet our targets of reliability, cost, and safety. You will collaborate with operators, technicians, and contractor company supervisors to identify and communicate necessary improvements and ensure their implementation. Your role will involve installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems, as well as performing general electrical maintenance of fire alarm systems.
Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical control, wiring, and lighting systems as per technical diagrams and blueprints.
- Perform general electrical maintenance of fire alarm systems and troubleshoot electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.
- Evaluate needed spare parts for equipment and contribute to maintenance program optimization.
- Train others in maintenance-specific tasks and contribute to developing and maintaining a safe work environment.
- Be a supportive part of multiple facility support systems, collaborating with the team to ensure efficient operations.

Skills & Requirements
We believe that you have:
- Three years electrical gymnasium.
- Fluency in English
- Elementary computer literacy (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
- Previous experience in maintenance, minimum 2 years.
- Automation and programming skills

- Good technical knowledge about fire alarm systems and security camera systems.
