Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Staff Nurse to join our team and play a vital role in ensuring the well-being of our residents. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive nursing care, focusing on individual needs and promoting resident independence, dignity, and quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments and develop individualized care plans in accordance with residents' needs and preferences.
- Implement prescribed nursing interventions, including medication administration, wound care, pain management, and other treatments.
- Monitor vital signs, assess and document residents' physical and mental health status, and report any changes to the CNM/PIC.
- Assist residents with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, eating, and toileting, promoting independence and dignity.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a positive and caring environment.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, including doctors, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and social workers, to ensure coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in residents' medical records.
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay updated on best practices in nursing care.
- Adhere to all infection control protocols and safety guidelines.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the CNM/PIC.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) qualification with current NMBI registration.
- Minimum of 1 year experience working in a nursing home setting.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills.
- Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure and prioritize tasks.
- Commitment to providing high-quality, resident-centered care.
- Excellent understanding of infection control and safety protocols.
