About the role:
An amazing opportunity to join our growing campus to teach our Bachelor of Animation Programme. You will be walking into an energetic environment where value is placed on delivering outcomes rather than micro-managing work and tasks. You will be given autonomy to work in a way that gets the best results and will be expected to take responsibility and make things happen. Some of your key responsibilities will be to:
- Participate in the continuous improvement of course content and teaching resources
- Deliver assessments and evaluate to prescribed national and local qualification standards
- Assist with the care and maintenance of classrooms/labs and teaching equipment and resources including marketing and campus events
- Record of accurate student data, assessment results, attendance, pastoral care and other required documentation
About you:
You will describe yourself as an accomplished animation practitioner who is enthusiastic, positive, patient, and motivated self-starter who has a passion for sharing knowledge and trying new things. Your exceptional communication and time management skills, along with the ability to connect and build relationships will be the key to your success! Ideally, you will also have
Teaching and Curriculum Development:
Deliver inspiring practical sessions in 2D and 3D Animation.
Contribute to the ongoing development and enhancement of the Bachelors of Animation curriculum.
Research and Supervision:
Utilize your research expertise to engage students in Academic practices.
Supervise and guide students in their research projects, fostering a culture of inquiry.
Multidisciplinary Collaboration:
Contribute to the Animation faculty across multiple campuses.
Student Engagement and Support:
Connect with students through various teaching methods to cater to diverse learning styles.
Provide pastoral care and support, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Assessment and Moderation:
Contribute to assessment and moderation practices.
Demonstrate proficiency in the Adobe Suite, AE, Animate or Toonboom, Maya, and Unity/Unreal Engine.
Professional Development:
Demonstrate a keen interest in expanding your adult teaching skill set as part of your ongoing professional development.
Advantages:
Experience in Unity and/or Unreal Engine.
Background in Game Art and Design.
Cultural Commitment:
