The key responsibilities of a Finance Officer will include, but may not be limited to;

  • Manage and oversee the organisation's budgeting and financial reporting.
  • Conduct internal audits to ensure financial compliance and effectiveness.
  • Provide financial guidance to the management team and stakeholders.
  • Implement financial policies and procedures aligned with the organisation's objectives.
  • Handle financial transactions and record-keeping with accuracy and integrity.
  • Collaborate with external auditors when required.
  • Participate in financial projects and initiatives.
  • Report regularly to the management team about financial activities.

The Successful Applicant:
A successful Finance Officer should have:

  • A degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
  • Not for Profit and Charities background - Education desirable.
  • Ability to commute to Stoke-on-Trent.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
  • Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
  • A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
