The key responsibilities of a Finance Officer will include, but may not be limited to;
- Manage and oversee the organisation's budgeting and financial reporting.
- Conduct internal audits to ensure financial compliance and effectiveness.
- Provide financial guidance to the management team and stakeholders.
- Implement financial policies and procedures aligned with the organisation's objectives.
- Handle financial transactions and record-keeping with accuracy and integrity.
- Collaborate with external auditors when required.
- Participate in financial projects and initiatives.
- Report regularly to the management team about financial activities.
The Successful Applicant:
A successful Finance Officer should have:
- A degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field.
- Not for Profit and Charities background - Education desirable.
- Ability to commute to Stoke-on-Trent.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulations.
- Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
