Purpose of the role:
As we continue to expand and lead in our industry, we are seeking a dynamic and experienced Head of Information Systems to champion our IS strategy, infrastructure and aligning the changing IS landscape to the evolving business needs.

Key Accountabilities:
IT Infrastructure Management:

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive IT infrastructure strategy tailored to the unique needs of a licensing business
  • Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of cutting-edge IT systems, ensuring they align with our strategic requirements
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate IT infrastructure seamlessly with business operations, enabling optimal performance and scalability
  • Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry trends relevant to both fuel cell technology and information systems

Business Applications Oversight:

  • Work closely with key stakeholders to understand the specific requirements of fuel cell technology licensing and ensure that technology solutions enhance overall business goals

Information Security Leadership:

  • Develop and implement a robust information security strategy, policies, and procedures to protect the sensitive nature of our technology, data, and systems
  • Conduct regular risk assessments and vulnerability assessments to identify potential threats and weaknesses in the technology licensing domain
  • Establish and maintain incident response plans, ensuring swift and effective responses to security incidents unique to our industry
  • Stay current with evolving cybersecurity threats, regulations, and best practices, adjusting security measures to safeguard our proprietary information

Knowledge and skills required for the role:

  • Proven experience in an IS leadership role, ideally within a technology licensing or similar industry
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to align IS initiatives with the specific goals and requirements of fuel cell technology licensing
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with a track record of building and leading high-performing teams
  • Proven ability to lead and inspire a high performing IS team
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to effectively collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders
  • Ability to align IS strategies with business objectives, especially in the context of a technology licensing
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse complex issues and provide innovative solutions
  • Ability to adapt to evolving business priorities, technologies, and industry trends
  • Proven experience in overseeing IS projects from conception to completion
  • Commitment to maintaining the highest standards of ethics and integrity, especially when dealing with sensitive information related to fuel cell technology
