JOB DESCRIPTION
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop and execute the company's financial strategy in alignment with overall business objectives.
- Lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes to support strategic decision-making.
- Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, controlling, taxation, audit, and financial reporting.
- Establish and maintain financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices.
- Provide strategic financial guidance and analysis to senior leadership, board of directors, and other stakeholders.
- Drive operational efficiency and optimize financial processes through collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, including auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions.
- Lead debt and support equity fundraising efforts, including preparing investment proposals, negotiating terms, and managing investor relations.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, market developments, and regulatory changes to anticipate and mitigate financial risks.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING OUT FOR
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field; MBA or professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ICAN) preferred.
- Proven experience in a senior finance leadership role, with a track record of success in financial management, strategic planning, and fundraising.
- Deep understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements; IFRS 9 knowledge will be highly valued.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial data and provide actionable insights.
- Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams and foster collaboration across the organization.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to evolving priorities and challenges.
- Preferably resident in Lagos, Nigeria
