The Opportunity / Who We Seek
We are looking for an accomplished Senior Legal Counsel to join our Legal team as part of our business in Dublin.
As part of the global expansion of the Maples Group’s financial services offering, our Dublin office opened its doors in 2006. About the Role
The Senior Legal Counsel reports into the Assistant General Counsel in Dublin (the "AGC") and in their absence reports into the MaplesFS General Counsel (the "GC").
Primary responsibilities include:
- Ensure prompt drafting of all client documents
- Oversee the review of all client comments to documents and ensure prompt response to clients including production of revised drafts
- Lead/oversee negotiations with clients regarding documentation
- Draft bespoke agreements, including multi-entity agreements and multi-service agreements
- Draft precedents for new service offerings
- Oversee updates of existing precedents
- Consult with CSPs throughout the documentation and negotiation process to ensure client relationship is being properly managed
- Oversee drafting of and updates to MaplesFS internal service agreements and delegation agreements
- Review and negotiate third party vendor agreements entered into by the MaplesFS Group
- Review D&O insurance policies covering directors provided by MaplesFS to ensure sufficient coverage and terms
- Conduct legal research regarding new developments and regulatory issues; stay appraised of regulatory developments
- Perform additional functions as required by the GC or AGC
What You Bring
- Similar experience in current/previous role
- Investment Funds experience would be an advantage
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Self-starter
