ABOUT THE ROLE:
We're seeking a skilled 2nd Line Support Mainframe Specialist with 2-10 years of experience. This role requires expertise in mainframe technologies, including COBOL and ServiceNow, with comprehensive knowledge of mainframe support. Familiarity with JCL, DB2, and Linux is beneficial.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Provide advanced 2nd line support for mainframe technologies, ensuring efficient resolution of escalated technical issues.
  • Manage incidents and service requests related to mainframe systems, guaranteeing timely and effective resolutions.
  • Utilize ServiceNow for streamlined ticket management, tracking, and resolution.
  • Collaborate closely with various support teams and stakeholders to investigate and resolve intricate technical issues within mainframe environments.
  • Document troubleshooting steps, solutions, and resolutions for knowledge sharing and future reference.
  • Contribute to system performance maintenance and enhancements within mainframe systems.
  • Implement best practices for mainframe system support and actively participate in continuous improvement initiatives.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:

  • 2-10 years of experience in a support role specializing in mainframe technologies.
  • Expertise in COBOL and ServiceNow is mandatory.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of mainframe support methodologies and tools.
  • Proficiency in English for effective communication with stakeholders. Proficiency in German is a plus.
  • Good-to-have skills in JCL, DB2, and Linux for a deeper understanding of mainframe environments.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to resolving complex technical issues.
