The ACT team are a cohesive, responsive team with outside the square thinking. Providing support to Tangata Whaiora who present with complexity that requires an intensive and flexible approach, the ACT team work collaboratively across a number of services to ensure wrap around support that meets Tangata Whaiora and whanau needs. The Multidisciplinary team values the skills the varying disciplines bring and caseloads are indicative and fluid in relation to the complexity of the care required at any given time.
- Key responsibilities of the role:
- Provide assertive, creative hollistic care with a strong recovery and strength based approach to tangata whaiora in varying stages of recovery-
- Undertake a flexible approach where no two days can be the same-
- Practice effectively with autonomy as well as being an intergral part of a multidisciplinary health care team.-
- Utilise technology for communication and documenting clinical information inclusive of a range of assessments.-
- Have an understanding of risk and how to manage and mitegate these.-

- Skills and experience you’ll need to be considered for the role:
- A current annual practicing certificate enabling working in the mental health sector-
- Experience within the mental health field-
- Ability to confidently assess, formulate presentation and risk and report this to MDT in a clear and concise manner-
- Interpersonal skills, therapeutic engagement, critical thinking and communication skills-
- The ability to be service user/tangata whaiora focussed, innovative and work effectively in a multidisciplinary team as well as autonomously-
- A good understanding of the community and services available-
- Knowledge and understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi-

- The Mental Health and Addictions service deliver a variety of services across the Waikato region. We are a service undertaking a huge programme of change to deliver better outcomes to tāngata whai ora and whānau in our region. - The ACT team provide a 7 day a week service, inclusive of public holidays (08:00 - 16:30hrs) and also provides early evening on-call (Monday to Friday 16:30 - 20:30hrs). There will be times, when as an on-call clinician, you may be required to return to work to attend to urgent client related business that cannot wait until the next day. The rostering is largely self-rostering, so there is ability to support a work/life balance.
