Job Title: Industrial Mechanical Helper with Welding Experience

Job Description:

Responsibilities:

1. Assist in Operation and Maintenance: Work alongside the maintenance team to perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on machinery and equipment within the deep well sewage pumping station.

2. Welding Tasks: Utilize welding equipment to perform repairs on metal components as needed. This may include welding, cutting, and fabricating metal parts according to specifications.

3. Forklift Operation: Safely operate forklifts to transport materials and equipment within the pumping station area. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations while operating the forklift.

4. Troubleshooting: Assist in diagnosing mechanical issues and implementing appropriate solutions to ensure the efficient operation of equipment within the pumping station.

5. Documentation: Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used in compliance with company procedures.

6. Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety guidelines, procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and others.

7. Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with other team members to accomplish tasks efficiently and effectively. Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues regarding work progress and any potential issues.

8. Equipment Inspection: Conduct regular inspections of machinery and equipment to identify any signs of wear, damage, or malfunction. Report findings to supervisors promptly.

Requirements:

1. Experience: Minimum of 7 years of experience in driving forklifts and assisting in mechanical operations within an industrial setting, preferably in a sewage pumping station or similar environment.

2. Welding Skills: Proficient in welding techniques, including MIG, TIG, and arc welding. Ability to read and interpret welding blueprints and diagrams.

3. Forklift Certification: Valid certification to operate forklifts and a demonstrated track record of safe forklift operation.

4. Mechanical Aptitude: Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair mechanical equipment effectively.

5. Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects, bending, stooping, and working in confined spaces.

6. Safety Conscious: Commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to all safety protocols and regulations.

7. Team Player: Excellent teamwork and communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

8. Flexibility: Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

1. Previous Experience: Prior experience working in the maintenance of sewage pumping stations or similar industrial facilities.

2. Technical Education: Technical education or certifications in welding, mechanical maintenance, or related fields.
