About the role:
An exciting opportunity for a Supply Support Officer to join our Above Water Systems (AWS) Business, and become an integral part of the Supply Support capability team based in Garden Island. You will be responsible for undertaking activities associated with Supply Support to meet the contracted Key Performance Indicators (KPI) within the Contractor's established quality and commercial guidelines. Working within the AWS Supply Support team, you will work to ensure the delivery of the operational aspects of the supply function with a strong focus on safety, excellence and integrity.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Monitoring and managing subcontractor and supplier performance against contractual obligations.
- Interpret forecasting data and milestones, prioritising for procurement and demand satisfaction.
- Actively engage with all relevant stakeholders to build relationships and ensure prompt service response is provided and to deliver the right stock/service to support objectives.
- Ensure availability of equipment, spare parts and services through monitoring procurement and repair activities.
- Raise requisitions in Defence and Thales Enterprise Resource Planning tools.
- Continuous improvement of the procurement/delivery and spare part management/services processes including optimisation.
- Report the status of requisitions and purchase orders to all relevant stakeholders.
- Manage product lifecycles including the phase-in and out of materials resulting from packaging and material changes.
- Provide excellent service while providing materials, services and information to meet the needs of the customer and all relevant stakeholders.
- Compile, review and maintain data from contracts, purchase orders, requisitions and other documents in order to assess supply needs.
- Forecasting and planning requirements to meet objectives
How about you;
- Mechanical / Electrical / Production trade or engineering training and experience working within a Production Control Environment in a similar Industry using ERP system.
- Proven ability to work effectively and cooperatively within a team environment.
- Demonstrated ability to be responsible and reliable, with a strong focus and commitment to safe working practices.
- Proven ability to deliver a high level of customer service in person, over the phone and in writing.
- An understanding of operating with and/or supporting the Australian Defence Force capability or an understanding of operating in a publicly-accountable environment is desirable
- Experience in working with an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) such as MILIS, CINCOM, SAP.
