This Opportunity:
Propcom+ is a new FCDO-funded eight-year (-), rural andagricultural market development programme supporting climate-resilient andsustainable agriculture and forestry that benefits people, climate, and nature.The programme is implemented by The Palladium Group, and it aims to transformNigeria's rural economy by addressing environmental, social, and economicchallenges in the country's food and land-use system. It will do this by (i)increasing productivity, improve nutrition and food security; (ii) enhanceclimate resilience, pursue lower emissions, and protect and restore nature, and(iii) help tackle some of Nigeriaâs underlying drivers of conflict andinsecurity. It does this by working as a âmarket facilitatorâ, identifyingconstraints in markets systems and facilitating changes to enable rural marketsto work better for the benefit of poor and climate-vulnerable smallholderfarmers and rural small-scale entrepreneurs.
Propcom+ has a target of increasing the incomes and climateresilience of 3.9 million poor and vulnerable people in Nigeria, 50% of whomwill be women, through a â3Psâ approach of interlinked components:
P1 : Scaling-up a focused basket of Proven climate-smartinterventions around agricultural and primary processing / storage practicesand models to get these adopted by millions of poor and vulnerable smallholderfarmers and small-scale entrepreneurs.
P2 : Building markets by developing and Piloting newbusiness models that improve productivity, enhance resilience to climatechange, reduce emissions, and improve nutrition outcomes.
P3 : Enabling Policies that support a strengthenedenabling environment for sustainable food and land-use system.
Location and Compensation:
The position is based in Palladiumâs Abuja office. The P1 Workstream Lead will be required to travelfrequently within Nigeria, particularly to the Northern part of Nigeria.

Reporting and Supervision:
This post will report to the Strategy director.
This post will supervise the Portfolio manager position as may bedecided by Programme management.
PrimaryDuties and Responsibilities: Â
Facilitatethe scale-up of rural development interventions.
Accountable for scaling upinterventions previously implemented in Propcom Mai-Karfi programme. Thisinitially will include delivering climate smart crop varieties; biofortifiedand fortified crop delivery models, livestock, and poultry vaccination scheme;ICT based extension services. Manage a portfolio of interventionsensuring alignment with expected results, budget, timeline, and quality. Adaptintervention as needed based on results, emerging opportunities, risks, changein priorities, etc. Manage and/or facilitate technicalassistance, capacity building, training, mentorship, and business support,performance-based grant
