Our Opportunity
Join our dynamic team at Quality Bakers Auckland as an Automation and Electrical Project Engineer. You will play a crucial role in providing expert technical skills in Electrical, Instrumentation & Process Automation (EIPA).
You will become the site expert on our Cimcorp automation system for maintenance and ongoing reliability. In addition, the role involves coordinating and supervising small site-based EIPA projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams and key stakeholders.
This role can be based in: QBA - Auckland, Longburn - Palmerston North or Meadow Fresh - Christchurch
Key responsibilities include:
- Demonstrate advanced technical skills in Electrical, Instrumentation & Process Automation (EIPA)
- Become the site expert on the Cimcorp automation system for maintenance and ongoing reliability
- Coordinate and supervise small site-based EIPA projects
- Lead cross-functional teams and engage stakeholders effectively
- Strong Problem Resolution skills with the ability to address and resolve high-level electrical and automation breakdowns efficiently
- Ensure the EIPA systems stay current with technology advancements
- Maintain and develop EIPA systems for optimal plant performance, reporting metrics like equipment availability, MTBF, and MTTR
- Contribute to machinery reliability improvements, challenging the status quo for continuous process improvement
About You
- Demonstrated engineering experience in an automation/electrical project role
- Experience in Food and FMCG manufacturing is highly desirable and a GMP and food safety understanding
- Strong root cause analysis for timely breakdown resolutions
- HS&E knowledge, including Electrical safety systems
- Prior experience with PLC (programming and root cause analysis) and SCADA
