New World Timaru, a locally owned & operated supermarket servicing Timaru and the wider region, is recruiting for a Bakery Manager. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers an exciting opportunity to lead a dedicated team committed to delivering exceptional quality products and service to our valued customers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leadership of the team with an emphasis on delegation, efficiency and teamwork
- Ensuring our customers are our number one priority
- Overseeing production and finishing of bakery products
- Achievement of financial KPI’s
- Stock and waste control
- Training and staff development
- The implementation of food safety and health & safety practices
Applicants will need to be able to demonstrate:
- A passion for baking, preferably with a bakery qualification
- Proven communication and people skills
- Ability to build a great team and attract the best people
- Effective organisational skills
- High levels of personal presentation
Applicants must hold a New Zealand citizenship, New Zealand Permanent Residency or a Valid New Zealand Work Permit.
