The role

In this role you will:

  • Be responsible for driving day to day operations of a portfolio of kitchens currently 6 to 8 sites, with the potential to grow to 10 sites, including senior living kitchens, business and Industrial cafeterias, educational sites, and retail cafés, across the South Island.
  • Reporting to the General Manager (Operations - South) and working with the wider business to implement development strategies and foster an engaged workforce.
  • Manage and support the catering for functions whilst actively promoting Cater Plus and seeking out new business opportunities.

This is a multifaceted role which requires an experienced chef and manager who can think on their feet, be adaptive and who thrives in a fast-paced environment. We need someone who is commercially and financially savvy with a strong customer focus, and excellent stakeholder management skills. Experience in the catering or hospitality industry is essential as you will need to support site managers, understand their business and challenges, resolve problems, identify opportunities for improvement, and get in and roll your sleeves up to assist when necessary. Experience with multi-site management is essential.
