Danone Nutricia NZ is looking for a Warehouse Operator to join our team in our Dairy Factory in Balclutha.
*This vacancy is a 3 month fixed term full-time job, working a rotating shift roster 2 days, 2 nights and 4 days off. *Please note these are physical roles that involve heavy lifting, standing for long periods and climbing stairs on a daily basis.
- You will be part of our Warehouse team to support the store's processing of raw milk into infant formula.
- Operate powered industrial equipment to unload/load, stack, store, move waste from packaging lines, stage materials and products safely
- Efficiently stack and store products in the appropriate areas.
- Ensure shipments are in great condition, accurate and free from damage.
- Check the quality of the product and the storage, and report quality issues if required.
- Pull and prepare products for shipment, ensuring the accuracy of orders pulled, loaded, and shipped.
- Input and extract information from the programs used for warehouse management systems.
- Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety; comply with Danone and MSDS standards.
- Maintain a clean work area through daily sanitation.
- Working with administrative duties required to support the warehouse team and for receipt, storage and distribution of all stock.

About you
ABOUT YOU
To be successful you will have:
- Experience operating forklifts, preferably in the food industry - familiarity with QFS procedures and standards.
Working knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices and a strong Health & Safety / Quality focus:
An understanding of hygiene requirements in a food manufacturing plant (ideal if you have worked in a High Care environment)
Strong attention to detail, ability to work shifts and be a team player:
Good communication skills
